My desire to be an assistant started early in one of my first careers as a Sales Assistant in the car sales industry, but after I graduated from grade twelve, I pursued a career in the legal assistant field. In 2017, I graduated from Saskatoon Business College with a diploma in Legal Assistant and shortly after accepted a position as a Legal and Executive Assistant for an agricultural company in Saskatoon. While I was there, I helped in areas of tax, litigation, employment law, assisting all the employees in the sales department as well as the executive staff. I was also the President Chair of the Social Committee.
In addition to pursuing a career as a legal assistant, I also started my own business that focuses on photography, modelling, and designing clothes. Through this venture, I provide opportunities to the youth and adults of the First Nations communities, through hosting fashion shows and photoshoots, all while showcasing local designers and shops from Saskatchewan.
In 2019, I was offered a position as an Executive Assistant in one of the first ever legalized cannabis wholesalers in Saskatoon. I was eager to learn about this new opportunity as it was still fairly new in the industry. I assisted the CEO, Office Manager, Warehouse and Delivery employees. While I was there, I had the privilege of helping with the advertising of the company with videography, photography, and within the media outlets in Saskatoon.
I’ve had my share of diverse employment opportunities through my years of work and now I am even more excited to join the team at Bergerman Smith LLP, working directly with Ivan Bergerman.
When I’m not busy working I love to spend time with my three daughters, three miniature horses, and our three dogs on our farm. I also have a passion for photography, painting, and sewing.
Nicole received her Legal Assistant Diploma from the Saskatoon Business College and completed 1 year of Arts & Science at the University of Saskatchewan.
