Since 2011, the focus of my practice has been helping claimants resolve their Indian Residential School claims against the Government via the Independent Assessment Process (“IAP”) and I continue to represent claimants in this process. Representing more than three hundred claimants in the IAP, I have garnered a reputation for taking on difficult files and providing fierce advocacy for my clients. I have drafted many successful request for reviews of which the decisions have produced some of the leading cases in the IAP.
After obtaining my Juris Doctorate in 2009, I moved from Saskatoon to Calgary where I articled and was called to the Bar in 2010. In 2011, I was offered an opportunity to move back to Saskatoon to represent claimants in the IAP with Aboriginal Law Group. In 2015, I started Racine Law and continued to represent claimants in the IAP. Over the past seven years I have been fortunate enough to represent claimants from Halifax to Vancouver Island, and everywhere in between. I have a profound respect for the First Nation communities and hope to continue to assist with the legal aspects of reconciliation.
