Samuel J. Bergerman | J.D.
My name is Samuel Bergerman but please call me Sam. I believe in working hard to make things easy. I use plain language to ensure that I am easy to understand. I manage my practice to ensure you will find it easy to connect. I use state-of-the-art document automation to ease my time investment on a job (which, in turn, helps to ease the strain on your pocketbook) and I generally use flat fees so you can easily anticipate your costs.
I focus my practice on “happy” law. I aim to help you accomplish goals with little conflict or concern. If you are buying or selling your property, if you are building or selling your business or if you are planning for the future, I am here to help ease the way. *
*If, on the other hand, you want a bulldog to help you with a scrap, I would be happy to refer you to someone who enjoys that sort of thing. I avoid conflict and litigation whenever possible and I work hard to ensure you avoid them too.
After graduating from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan, and articling with a large firm in Saskatoon, Sam practiced for a number of years in Langenburg, Saskatchewan, where he focussed on banking and agricultural property law, municipal law and general practice. After Sam and his wife had their first child, they returned to Saskatoon where Sam continued to practice until accepting an opportunity to work in legal education. Sam was soon promoted to Director of Bar Admissions for the Law Society of Saskatchewan where he worked to ensure the proficiency of all new lawyers. At the end of 2013, Sam returned to private practice in partnership with Ivan and Ian. Sam brings with him the experience of serving clients of every size and type, including corporations, banks, credit unions, municipalities, government agencies, businesses, farm operations, and many, many individuals.
